This chair, carved out of a single block of wood with symmetrical patterns on high back, two individual figures, presumed to be ancestral guardians, attentively standing with folded arms on chests (depicting sign of obedience and respect), is a royal emblem.
The chair was used by a king when he convened to resolve disputes,and also during important public gatherings with elders. Chair of this type was a status symbol and expression of his royalty and authority; as well as a token of the highest spiritual power.
